SUCCESS COMES THROUGH TRYING

David had always dreamed of becoming a great soccer player. Whenever he watched professional players on television, he imagined himself on the field in front of thousands of fans.

One day, he decided to try out for his school’s soccer team. He was full of confidence, but when the selection process was over, his name was not on the list. He felt deeply disappointed.

Despite this setback, David refused to give up. Every morning before school, he woke up early to exercise. Every afternoon, he spent hours practicing ball control, passing, and shooting. His friends sometimes laughed at him, but he kept working hard.

A year later, the team held another tryout. David tried again. This time, he performed better, but he still did not get the position he wanted. Instead of becoming discouraged, he used the failure as a lesson to improve himself.

In his third year, all his efforts began to pay off. He delivered an outstanding performance during the tryouts and became one of the best players on the team. When people asked him how he had achieved his success, he replied:

“If I had given up after my first failure, I would never be where I am today. Success comes through trying.”

Moral: Failure does not mean you are incapable; it is simply a step on the path to success. Those who keep trying are the ones who go the farthest.
